Poems & Messages from the New Dawn

Jennifer Lewis

Slip into my world of bless, listen to my

lonely voice of joy.

Ride the rough waves that test are sea

defences

Sleep not to dream of long days ahead,

that thickens the air with smoke.

Cast your nets far out, among the

murky truths.

For she moves slow her lamp so bright,

to gather in her flock.

For she stands at the mouth of freedom,

guiding her children home.

Kanneth Waldie

My loved one to sleep my sleep, to

awake beside thy light.

Never more to awake in nightmare,

dreams of heartache.

Prophets of doom, know thy prayer

that awakes.

The truth of the light that comes,

the hunters of prophets gain.

Rich painted faces of doom, know

I never sleep.

For when you sleep my sleep, you

awake beside the Lord.

Amy Jarret

Put aside thy wrath of revenge, then

slowly walk thy path of angels.

Look to the place where children

play.

Then see the charm of children

laughing.

Watch the youth, with their joy of

never knowing.

For their hour of knowing, slowly

sleeps among them.

For they put aside, to listen to the

chime of angels.
